As a clarification and correction of historical events in contrast to the story of the Movie 300, I am very pleased that Dr. Parsinia has identified the significant contributions of ancient Persia to the world. I highly recommend this book. Well done……
Cyrus The Great founded the Persian Empire, the largest empire the world has seen. This is the first known multiethnic, multicultural, multilingual and multireligious state. Cyrus strategically and philosophically respected local cultural, religious, customs and administrative practices, which gained him considerable support from the subjects of his vast empire and became a framework for our Founding Fathers to draft the US constitution. I am very pleased that Dr. Parsinia has referenced this important issue in his Epilogue.
This book has all the ingredients for a blockbuster, epic, action Hollywood movie such as Gladiator, Troy, Braveheart and Ten Commandments. It covers three major battles ( Media, Lydia and Babylonia), a love story, intrigues, drama, revenge, and scenes from the original Sin City Babylon. I liked the fast pace of the book…. never a dull moment. Great job.
This is a story that needs to be told. I am really surprised that no book has been written before covering the life history of an ancient king who changed the course of world history.
